Elma Guerra Peña

Elma Guerra Peña, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on January 20, 1935, to Cipriano and Matilde Guerra, Elma lived a long, joyful, and fulfilling life grounded in faith, family, and service to others.

Elma was the heart of her family — a woman deeply rooted in her religious beliefs, always driven, and ever generous. Her love for gardening reflected the way she lived her life: nurturing, patient, and full of quiet beauty. She took great pride in raising her children and grandchildren, always placing family above all else.

She is survived by her children: Juanita Peña, Arnulfo Peña (Rosie), and Mary Ann Martinez (Roel). Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Jose, Candida, Janie, Maytee, Benjamin Arnulfo, Eric Ray, Azucena, Yvette, Benjamin Armando, Madison Ann, Trinidad Andrea, Antonio Jesus, Nathan Job, Ian Levi, Ethan Gray, and Landyn Reign and numerous great grandchildren and great - great grandchildren

Elma was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Peña Adame; her son, Benjamin Armando Peña (Rosie); her granddaughter, Krystle Kay Peña, and great granddaughter, Brenda Lee Monjaras.

Elma will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her kind and giving spirit, and the strength with which she lived her life. She brought light to those around her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
