Emeterio B. Martinez, age 82, of Alton, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Mission Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones. Emeterio was born on March 15, 1941 to Silverio and Ventura Martinez in Zacatecas, Mexico.
Emeterio is survived by beloved wife, Margarita Martinez; his son Jaime Martinez; his son Daniel Martinez (Gabriela); his daughter Maria Martinez (Alexis); his son Raul Martinez (Maria); and his son Rogelio Martinez (Kelley); his sister Evangelina Hernandez; his son Emet Martinez (Nereyda).
Emeterio was preceded in death by his son Silverio Martinez, his son Javier Martinez and his daughter Maria del Rosario Martinez; his father Silverio Martinez and his mother Ventura Barrios; his grandson Xavier Martinez.
Mr. Martinez also leaves 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
A visitation for Emeterio will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM and a holy rosary reciting at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission. A Catholic Mass will occur Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM at San Martin De Porres in Alton, TX followed by a burial at 11:00 AM at Valley Memorial Gardens, Mission, TX.
