Eric gave love freely, and that love was returned by the many people whose lives he touched.
Eric was a true character and a wandering soul. He never cared about name-brand clothes, pop culture, or fitting in. He was simply himself, and those who knew him loved him for it. Whenever someone needed help, Eric was there.
Eric’s story was filled with friendships, family, and countless adventures. H e formed lifelong friendships that would carry through many different chapters of his life. From walking through the orange fields that once covered the Valley, to traveling to Kansas for work as a young man, Eric embraced life with a sense of curiosity, independence, and adventure. There was rarely a dull moment when Eric was around.
He was the kind of person who would show up when someone needed him. Through moves, changes, and difficult seasons of life, Eric was always willing to lend a hand. His loyalty and willingness to help the people he cared about were a meaningful part of who he was.
One of the most meaningful chapters of Eric’s life began when he became a single father to his twin daughters, Annaleigh and Kimberly Garcia. Eric was deeply proud of his daughters and loved them with all his heart. Being their dad meant everything to him.
Eric was preceded in death by his father, Ernesto Garcia Sr., and his brother, Ernesto Garcia Jr.
He is survived by his beloved twin daughters, Annaleigh and Kimberly Garcia; his mother Juana Garcia, his brothers, Carlos Manuel Garcia and his wife, Norma Garcia, and Gabriel Garcia and his wife, Rocio Garcia; and his sisters, Maria Dolores Garza and her husband, Ruben Garza, and Araceli Garcia and her husband, Josue Garcia. He also leaves behind many friends who loved him dearly.
Those who love Eric will continue to surround his daughters with care and remind them of the deep love their father had for them.
Our hearts ache at his loss. We will miss his presence, his friendship, and the unforgettable moments we shared. We will honor his memory by telling his stories, caring for one another, and carrying forward the love he gave so freely.
Eric, you were deeply loved. Your adventures and your memory will remain with us forever. Go fly like the wild soul you are, brother.
