Le sobrevive nuestra familia que le amaba y apreciaba muchisimo: sus hijos Diana M. Zarate (Israel), Ezequiel Bernal, Jr. (Irma) Gloria M. Alanis (Mario), y Claudia P. Mata (Jesus), sus nietos, Cassandra I. Zarate, Israel Zarate, Alan E. Zarate, Caylee M. Zarate, Diana P. Bernal, Ashley Bernal, Yesenia Aguirre, Gael Bernal, Michael Bernal, Evelyn I. Alanis, Alyssa Alanis, Breanna A. Mata, Caleb J. Mata, y dos bisnietas, Giselle A. Vasquez y Eilene Jailyn Garza.
Ezequiel amaba la naturaleza, siempre cuidando de las plantas y manteniendo la tumba de su esposa Gloria. El fue bien trabajador todo el tiempo, a pesar de tener 76 anos, era bien fuerte...siempre con mucha energia, trabajando mas de 30 anos como chofer, disfrutando de la carpinteria, y trabajando en Sunland Construccion los ultimos anos de su vida. En sus tiempos libres era aficionado de los tigres UANL del futbol mexicano, le gustaba ver peliculas de Cantinflas, y disfrutaba reunirse con su familia y amigos.
El fue un padre, tio, hermano, y abuelito amoroso. Ezequiel cuidaba mucho a su familia. Todos los que lo amabamos lo vamos a extranar muchisimo. Siempre estaremos agradecidos por haber sido una persona ejemplar en nuestras vidas. Como pisadas en la arena que las olas del mar no pueden desvanecer, asi tambien el nos ha dejado vividos y tiernos recuerdos que el tiempo nunca podra borrar. El siempre estara en nuestros corazones.
La familia le da la sinceras gracias a los enfermero(as) del Renaissance Hospital por las atenciones brindadas a nuestro padre.
La visitas seran el miercoles, 19 de agosto de 3 p.m. a 9 p.m. en Del Angel Funeral Home en Mission. Despues sera el sepelio el jueves, 20 de agosto a las 10:00 a.m. en Valley Memorial Gardens en Mission.
