Fabian Guerrero

Fabian Guerrero, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, attorney, and man of faith, passed away on September 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, faith, and service to those who knew him.

Born on July 5, 1962, Fabian dedicated much of his life to the pursuit of knowledge, justice, and helping others. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston and began his career as an attorney in 1996. Throughout his many years of practice, Fabian proudly operated his own law firm, where he represented and advocated for his clients in a wide range of areas, including criminal defense, immigration, civil litigation, probate, and personal injury.

Fabian was a lifelong learner with a genuine curiosity about the world. He especially enjoyed learning new languages and would often listen to German and French music as a way of immersing himself in the languages and cultures he was studying. His longest interest was learning Hebrew to which he had become almost fluent in. His love of learning reflected the disciplined and determined person he was—someone who was never afraid to challenge himself or pursue something new.

Travel was another one of Fabian’s great joys. He loved visiting Las Vegas, particularly for the shopping and shows, spending time at South Padre Island, and traveling to Houston to enjoy the Galleria and explore its many restaurants. Wherever he went, Fabian found something to appreciate and something new to experience.

Above all, Fabian was a man of deep faith. His relationship with God was an important part of his daily life, and he was known as a devoted and prayerful man. Sundays held a special place in his heart. He looked forward to attending church each week with his son, Diego, followed by lunch together—a simple tradition that became a treasured part of their lives.

Family was at the center of Fabian’s world. He cherished the time he spent with his loved ones and especially adored his grandson, Caleb. He looked forward to every holiday and the opportunity to gather with family, with the Fourth of July being especially meaningful to him. He loved the celebration, the togetherness, and, most of all, watching the fireworks.

Those who knew Fabian will remember him as a selfless, caring, disciplined, and God-fearing man. He gave generously of himself and carried a strong sense of responsibility toward his family, his faith, his work, and the people around him. His determination and ambition were matched by a genuine love for those closest to him.

Even in his final years, Fabian continued to look toward the future with excitement and purpose. He was looking forward to renewing his vows, moving into a new home, expanding his law practice, and beginning to explore investing. He had plans, dreams, and goals he was eager to pursue—always believing there was more to learn, experience, and accomplish.

Fabian leaves behind a legacy that extends far beyond his professional accomplishments. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his love of family, his thirst for knowledge, his dedication to his work, and the countless memories he created with those he loved.

He is survived with deep sorrow by his wife, Anissa Guerrero; three children, Daniel Victor Valdez, Robert Alejandro Valdez, Fabian Lucas Guerrero; two grandsons, Caleb Elijah Valdez, Noah Guerrero; two brothers, Orlando Guerrero, Juan Jose Guerrero; and many more family and friends.

Fabian is reunited in heaven with his parents, Inez Garza Guerrero and Maria Anita Rosalez; son, Fabian Diego Guerrero; brother, Vidal Guerrero.

A viewing will be held at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission on Sunday, September 27, 2026 from 5pm to 9pm with a prayer service at 7pm. Funeral service will be on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 10am followed by burial at Valley Memorial Gardens.
