

Fabian Paiz Lopez, a loving father, grandfather, brother, tio, primo, passed away on Oct. 20, 2025, at the age of 89. “Popo”, as he was lovingly known, dedicated his life to providing for those he loved and took pride in seeing his family grow and thrive. Whether it was a family gathering, working in the yard, or spending time with his grandchildren/great-grandchildren, he was the embodiment of a family man. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, warm easy-going and welcoming demeanor, his love of sweets/chocolate milk, and unwavering loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys. He lit up the room with his towering presence, charismatic personality and left a lasting impression on anyone fortunate enough to know him.
He was born in Orange Grove, TX, to Jose Maria Lopez and Florentina Paiz Lopez. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Beatriz Rocha Lopez, his siblings, Abelardo Lopez, Matilde Rios, Natividad Gonzales, Jesus Lopez, Audelia Solano, Jose Maria Lopez, Jr., his sons, Fabian Lopez, Jr, Joe David Molina, his son-in-law, Gonzalo Garcia, his granddaughter, Stephanie Molina, and his great-granddaughter, Aricella Morena Lopez. His is survived by his sister, Antonia Garcia, his children, Juana Maria Perez (Frank), Beatriz L. Garcia, Jose M. Lopez (Blanca), Belinda Lopez (Anthony Thompson), Eduardo Lopez (Veronica), and Glenn Scott (Geneva), his daughters-in-law, Jeanine Lopez and Katherine Garcia, 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
