To my father in law, you always treated me with love and as a daughter. My family and myself will miss you greatly. I will forever remember your fajitas, the funny things you would randomly say, you always telling me how good my cooking was and all the bbq's we used to have jamming and dancing to tejano.  Love you always in my heart pops.

This man, my grandfather had a heavy influence on me . He was one of few male role models in my life . He taught me to never let the grass grow beneath my feet . That man taught me the value of hard work and the value of a dollar. That man taught me to absorb all the knowledge I could . That I would be more of an asset that way . I remember spending the summer with him in the hot valley heat laying concrete with him and learning the way of the trade with his instructions. I remember him telling me when I was a kid you don’t want a toy or anything from the store . I told him no grandpa I don’t have any money and he told me when I got money you got money and when you got money I got money. I remember the day I brought both of my daughters over to meet my grandpa for the first time . I remember when he gave me my first gun at 12 years old and my last one at 27. I remember when I told him I was gonna marry a girl and make her my wife , I remember bbqing with him and just enjoying the day and drinking beer. I remember the way you would hug me and squeeze me tight because you missed me . I remember when you would call me when things would break things I knew you could do or fix on your own but you would call me over just to see me and have time with me . I remember so much about this man and it makes my heart happy that I had the privilege to know him . That God put him in my life . There was no question or coincidence that man was ment to be in my life and I am extremely grateful to God for the memory and the moments in time that I got to spend with my grandfather.

Our sincere condolences to the Rodriguez family. We are sorry for the loss of my compadre Genaro. Thank you for the  beautiful time & laughter we had together. And for the love you had toward my beautiful daughter Angela Rodriguez. We will always treasure them. Comadre Alicia, we are praying for you & are here for you. Sorry can’t be there with you. This man was the best grandpa to me and great grandpa to my babies. I’m so glad they got to know him even if it was only for a short time. He always had a witty remark to make you laugh or something silly to say to make you smile when you didn’t wanna. We will love and cherish the memories we’ve made with him for the rest of our lives. I will pass stories on to my babies and they will grow up knowing all the funny sayings we will continue to use that my grandpa originated!

My grandfather meant the world to me. He taught me so much in my 30 years. My grandpa definitely had a hand in molding me into the women I am today. I will always remember the car rides in his jeep, the times the whole family would come together to eat the bbq he made, dancing to tejano music at all the dances, parties and even in the backyard. I’ll miss sitting on his lap and holding him so tight even when I was an adult. I know he loved us so much. I will cherish and hold these memories so tight. I love you so much grandpa!❤️❤️ Rest easy🕊️

I worked for him as a lieutenant on Pack 2 . When I would ask him for advice in a situation he usually just replied,"Just handle it." If things went wrong he did not want to get any of the fall out from it.
