With deep love and gratitude for a long and well-lived life, the family of George R. Brown announces his passing on December 2, 2025. Born on October 18, 1924, to Samuel Brown and Blanch Hammon, George grew into a man marked by strength, creativity, and unwavering faith.
George was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 69 years, Elizabeth Brown, with whom he shared a lifetime of devotion, partnership, and love. Together, they raised a beautiful family rooted in strong values and enduring faith.
He leaves behind his children — Don Gladstone, Encile Brown, Garth Brown, Hepsie Bohman and Dawn Brule — along with 12 cherished grandchildren, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
A proud farmer in Jamaica, George spent most of his days working the land he loved. His dedication to his farm and his tireless work ethic were reflections of the kind of man he was: steady, dependable, and committed to providing for his family and community. Whether planting, harvesting, or repairing, George approached each day with purpose and quiet determination.
Beyond his work, George was blessed with a creative spirit. He had a unique talent for designing and crafting his own Christmas light displays — beautiful, thoughtful creations that brought joy to all who saw them. His imagination and skill turned simple lights into works of art, shining with the same warmth he carried in his heart.
A faithful Seventh-day Adventist, George lived his life with humility, devotion, and deep spiritual conviction. His faith guided him, comforted him, and shaped the gentle, steadfast man his family knew and loved.
George will be remembered for his hard work, his creativity, his kindness, and his unwavering faith. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the love he gave, and the countless memories shared by those who were blessed to know him.
May he rest peacefully, reunited with his beloved Elizabeth.
