He is preceded in death by his father Gilbert Burgess, Sr., his mother Matilde Burgess, his uncle Gene Burgess, Sr. of Laredo, Texas, his aunt Rosa Burgess of Laredo, Texas; and by his cousin Carol A. (Burgess) Fagan of Austin, Texas.
His is survived by his uncle Miguel Deler; his aunt Carmen Deler; his cousins Gene Burgess, Jr. of Laredo, Texas, Nuria(Deler) Polewski and Maria del Carmen(Deler) Caballero.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 10:00 am at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission, Texas.
