Guadalupe “Lupita” Olivarez, 83, entered into her eternal resting place with our Lord Jesus Christ Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Lupita was born on December 2, 1930 in La Sal Colorada Ranch and resided in Santa Elena all her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents Leocadio and Paula Olivarez, sister Maria O. Madrigal, her brothers Heralio, Israel, and Hernan Olivarez. She is survived by her sister Ofelia O. Laurel and by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Iliana Beltran, Gabriela Garza, and Carolina Rivas for the support and love they provided to our Aunt Lupita during her illness.
Visitation was held yesterday, May 4, 2014 at Del Angel Funeral Home from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be held today, May 5, 2014 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Funeraria del Angel of Mission.
