He was a believer, son, brother, husband, father, father in law, grandfather, friend and many more. "Uncle Jim" is who he was to me. I remember Christmas visits at Grandmother's house in the 70's - 90's with him. We all wore Christmas sweaters before we knew they were "ugly". He enjoyed Grandmother's pies, cookies, and desserts. Sometimes, he was "Jungle Jim" because he would allow all the cousins to climb on him and flip them in the air. Once during a road trip to his Oklahoma home, I was amazed to watch him pull the car over and "shimmy" up a broken telephone pole (from a tornado) like a super hero . He removed the glass, bell shaped, "topper" ( I obviously don't know the name for it) as a souvineur. Uncle Jim did not have to be the center of attention, but was a strong, loyal, steadfast, dependable, "ready to serve" kind of man. Grateful for his well-lived life and thankful to see him again in Heaven.

Jim and Sheila made us feel so welcome in McAllen. You made us laugh a lot. Jim was such a kind soul, and loved his family. He is rejoicing with his Savior right now!

I new Jim in what seems like a lifetime ago. He was quiet and kind as I remember him and he encouraged me as he worked through his stages of life. He loved his wife and kids well. I know He is in good hands and we will see him again when our time comes. Heavens gaining !

My prayers are with you & your family during this time of heartache! I always admired Jim for coming with you to Rangerette Revels, as I knew that was a true statement of his love for you. He always had a smile and I knew he was a kind man. My prayer is that you & your family will remember the laughing times when you were all happy & those special memories of being together!

God Bless You & Sustain You in this time of Sorrow!
