He is preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Manuela Barreda and by his granddaughter Cristina Dalia Huff.
Jose is survived by his loving wife Maria Cristina Barreda; his children Maria Cristina Huff, Jose Alfonso Barreda Jr. and Jesus Barreda; his grandchildren Agustin Zavala II, Marisa I. Zavala, Clay E. Huff Jr., Catherine M. Huff and Jesus Barreda Jr.; and by his siblings, Consuelo Barreda Salem, Linda Cardona Bernstein, Marylu Prince, Josephine Barreda Chico and Enrique Barreda.
Visitation will be held today, August 26, 2016 at Funeraria Del Angel from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a memorial service at 6:00 pm. Funeral mass will be on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. George Orthodox Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel of Mission.
