With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Jose Escalante, who was born on May 27, 1954, and entered eternal rest on January 21, 2025. Jose was the beloved son of Serafín Escalante and Sotera Ramírez Vásquez, and a man whose life was defined by hard work, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to his family and community.
Jose was the devoted husband of Eulalia Ibarra de Escalante, his wife of 43 beautiful years. Their marriage was a true partnership built on love, respect, perseverance, and shared dreams. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional support.
He leaves behind his cherished children: Rolando Escalante, Edgar Escalante, Marco Escalante (Cristiana), and Jessica Escalante, each of whom carries forward his values, strength, and kindness. Jose was an extraordinary father who led by example—teaching his children the importance of honesty, responsibility, humility, and love through his actions every single day.
Jose was also a proud and loving grandfather to Santiago and Isabella Escalante, who brought him immense joy. He treasured every moment spent with them and found great happiness in watching them grow, learn, and smile.
He is survived by his siblings María, Marcello, Marta, José, Roberto, Andrés, Socorro, Rubén, José Manuel, and Elizabeth, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories, support, and family bonds that remained strong through the years.
A true hard worker, Jose was known for his dedication and reliability. At work, he was admired and respected by all and was even voted “most dependable” by those who knew him best. He approached every task with pride and a strong sense of service, always willing to help and never seeking recognition. Jose was someone you could count on—always present, always dependable, always kind.
Jose was a true people person. He had a natural way of connecting with others and making everyone feel welcome. One of his greatest joys was sharing what he had, especially fruits and vegetables from his garden. Giving came naturally to him, and his generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He loved gardening, working with the earth, and spending time outdoors, but above all, he loved being with his family. Whether sharing a meal, lending a helping hand, or simply enjoying time together, Jose found happiness in the simple moments that meant the most.
Jose Escalante was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, a caring brother, and a loyal friend. He was deeply loved, widely admired, and will be profoundly missed. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the love he gave so freely.
Jose’s memory will continue to guide and inspire, and his spirit will remain alive in our hearts always.
