He is preceded in death by parents Encarnacion and Florinda Guerra; his siblings Francisco Guerra, Arnoldo Guerra, Gregoria Guerra, Adan Guerra, Israel Guerra and Estela Guerra.
Jose is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Lydia Guerra; his children Temo(Mary Ann+) Guerra, Elsa(Jose Santos+) Rodriguez, Sylvia(Silvestre) Gomez, Gregoria(Jesus) Rios, Encarnacion(Cristina) Guerra, Jose(Janet) T. Guerra Jr. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and by his siblings Maria Del Rosario Tellez, Armando Guerra and Ofelia Guerra.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
