He is preceded in death by his parents Jose and Maria Dionicia Perez; and by his children Jose Ruben Perez Jr. and Olga Lidia Perez.
He is survived by his loving wife Beatriz Sosa de Perez; his children Veronica Alonzo, Elizabeth Perez, Antonio Perez(Carolina G.), Beatriz Perez-Tienda, Maria J. Perez(M.J. Trejo), Alma Alicia Perez, Jesus A. Perez and Emmanuel Perez(Cointa); 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and by his siblings Lourdes, Mercedes, Jovita and Celia.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Funeraria Del Angel, Chapel of Remembrance in Mission from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Funeraria Del Angel at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
