Jose Arturo Roel

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jose Arturo “Art” Roel, who left us on June 19, 2026, at the age of 55. He was a beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Born on January 17, 1971, in McAllen, Texas, Jose Arturo “Art” Roel was the child of Rodimero Roel and Idolina Roel. Throughout his life, Art was known for his strength, humble nature, and charitable heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He devoted his time and energy to his immense passion for sports as a former athlete and deeply devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He was incredibly open to sharing his knowledge and nurturing others’ love for the hobby, etching an impact that has lastingly resonated with those such as his nephew, Aaron.

He is survived with deep sorrow by siblings: Guadalupe Roel, Luz Angelina Rodriguez, Patricia Leija. Nephew and nieces: Erick, Elyza, Nicole, Aaron, Andre, and Danielle and many more family and friends.

Jose Arturo “Art” Roel was preceded in death by his mother Idolina Roel.

The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Jose Arturo “Art” Roel’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
