He is preceded in death by his parents Salvador and Gloria Ortiz; and by his brothers Javier and Roman Ortiz.
He is survived by his wife Celia Ortiz, his children Cynthia Ortiz, Juan Jose Ortiz Jr., Salvador Ortiz, Becky Ortiz, Carlos Gonzalez and Christian Gonzalez; and by his siblings Maria Luisa Garcia, Cesar Ortiz, Sandra Ortiz Ruiz, Salvador Ortiz Jr., Jose Reynaldo Ortiz, Hermelinda Ortiz Perez, Veronica Ortiz Gomez, Sofia Ortiz Hernandez and Karina Ortiz Arellano. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel, Chapel of Remembrance in Mission from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm.
