Juanita G Barrera

Juanita Barrera, born on November 26, 1948, was called home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Juan Gomez and Maria Consuelo Reyes, and was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 44 years, Concepcion “Chon” Barrera.

Juanita leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children Maria Consuelo Contreras (Juan Pedro), Laura Salinas (Isauro), Claudia Barrera Adame (Jose Luis Jr.), and Concepcion Barrera Molina (Heliodoro). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Galilea, Gabriella, Alyana, Eliazar, Isauro, Ivan, Cristian Damion, Claudette Jocelyn, Concepcion, Yaresi, and Ezequiel.

Juanita found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved gardening and caring for birds, sipping coffee with sweet bread, and spending time with her beloved dog, Canela. She was an excellent mother, grandmother, wife, and mother-in-law—loving, patient, and always giving of herself.

Her faith guided her daily life. Every morning, Juanita thanked God for the gift of a new day, living with gratitude, humility, and love. Her gentle spirit, warm heart, and unwavering faith will remain alive in all who knew and loved her.

Juanita Barrera will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
