I’ve known this sweet lady since I was a small young boy. I grew up about a block away from her house. Abel & Cain were my best friends growing up, so I spent many years knowing her. I can’t remember a moment when she was having a bad day, she was always happy. Watching the pictures and videos that have been posted made me  remember how much of a wonder person she was. You will be missed! 

An unorganized atypical letter from a strange outsider.  Before Rachel considered me for marriage I needed acceptance with an official stamp of approval from a matriarch. As with most mother-in-law and son-in-law relationships there are bound to be differences of opinions for a lot of topics. But our relationship was pretty unique. That stamp of yours changed the world. We found middle ground on all of those opinions. There are a lot of coincidences that made up our relationship numerically. For instance, we were born the same month and we shared a common astrological sign of Pisces. Your love of plant life was so sweet. Always talking to them like they were children. Our similarities with health issues grew a lot closer as the years flew by. Our doctor visits were pretty special and never dull. On the way to those places in need "Right Turn Rob" was consistent in getting lost on the roads. But in the end Rob finds a place to turn around and find the right way even if it means making a U-Turn. Then there is the number of children at the moment. Eleven. Eleven children with offspring that flourished. But that number 11 just keeps on popping up after you and I met. I know your dream of a ranch home and church is now built to your codes. If anyone in your family ever needs my assistance I will be there and do whatever I can for any of them. I'm not too keen on promises since they are prone to being broken. But, it's high time to make a promise. I promise to do what I can for any of your 11 kiddos, if needed, and wanted. As stated in many volumes of books, we are ALL connected in one way or another. You and I met in a before-life. Then we met in-life. And now we will see each other in an after-life my honorable friend. We had some good adventures to Odessa, Fort Worth, Dallas, South Padre Island, your favorite place, Rio Grande City and other Texas hot spots. You cannot imagine how much you mean to me Lidia. 

My adored Mom   You will always be remembered as the light in our lives.  Always preaching the word of God to us and all the rest that followed. A very devoted and loving mother to all of us.  Very strong woman I might say.  How could you make so many tortillas?  Mom you gave us your time here on Earth and for that we are grateful. But now you've gone to be with your maker.  The Heavens have waited long enough for you so shine your light up there.  You will always be remembered and loved. My heart breaks but you are in there.  your son Jaime Garcia

     One of my fondest memories with grandma was while filling out a family tree. I was expecting a simple list of names--a who’s related to who. Instead I was given a full history of our family name. 
     She was patient with me when I’d get lost. After all, she was the matriarch of a sprawling family of her own. She had so much love to give for your children and her children’s children. It came from her undying faith. 
     She was born during the Great Depression. She saw the invention of jets, rockets and color TV. The world grew bigger and bigger, yet she remained grounded; humble. I like to think that I took that from her. Her patience and humility. 
     Now she walks with the Lord. His devote servant is home. Rest well, Grandma. We’ll, see you again one day. 

Where does one start.

I don’t think I’ve ever known a person so full of love within their heart. Only preaching kind words of wisdom and was religiously following the Lord. It takes a powerful woman to bring a gorilla into this world, my dad (Jamie Garcia). I’m sorry grandma my dad was a pain at times but he whole heartedly loves you with his giant heart. I know he’s hurting, along with his other siblings. We all will miss you dearly. You were the definition of RESPECT and you will go down in our lasting memories as our Beacon of Hope. Warm as the lords light, in darkness giving sight. Thank you for all the inspiring words of wisdom you had to share in this lifetime. I’ll never forget going over to your house and climbing your tree by the church you attended vigorously. I love you, and may you rest in peace. So grab your Dad’s hand as well as Grandpas and have them show you the Heavens you so deserve. Love you Grandma.

Happy in knowing that you are with our dad, and loved one's rejoicing in the Lords presence. A most precious jewel you are  to me, now encrusted upon a golden crown that softly lay upon your gentle head. No one more deserving than thee, a most humble, loyal servant of God. My beautiful Mom you will be missed. I love you so much and thank you for the wonderful years of my childhood, the sacrifices you made for all of us and the constant neverending prayers.  I fondly remember you waking up every morning at dawn and seeing you on your knees praying. Our Heavenly father gained the Most Beautiful humble loving Angel when he called you home.  I am proud of the person I am today because of you Mom.  You taught me to be Christian and to believe in our Lord Jesus Christ.  There is no greater love than that of a Mother.  You will forever be in my heart Mamita.  It gives me comfort that you are at peace now without pain along side dad and our other loved ones welcoming you home.  My sons Christian and Tristan will forever keep you in their hearts and I will forever keep your memory  constant in my heart.   Love You Always you baby girl Maggie.
