She was devoted to her family and had a firm belief in God. She was born in Edinburg, Texas to Alberto de la Rosa and Dolores Miranda de la Rosa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delbert "Red" Thomas Killinger and son David Rodriguez.
She is survived by her sons, Arturo (Dinora) Rodriguez of Alton, Ruben (Lydia) Rodriguez, Valentin (Pat) Rodriguez, Martin Thomas (Laura) Killinger, Delbert Thomas (Belinda) Killinger Jr. of Alton; daughters, Juana Rodriguez, Angie (Joshua) Gutierrez of Pharr, Sylvia (Salomon) Pacheco Jr. of Fredericksburg, Lucy (Arnold) Gonzalez of Alton, and 29 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The Killinger family wish to give a special thanks to our Mother's private home caregivers: Katheryn Abrigail "Abby" Guajardo (granddaughter), Delia Garcia and Araceli Carrizales. The work each of you performed and the constant love and concern you showed to our mother's care will always be remembered and appreciated.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 virus the Killinger family is having a private prayer service for immediate family members only on April 16 at 7 pm. For individuals wishing to pay their respects to Maria, visitation will be held on Friday, April 16th from 3 pm - 6:30 pm at Del Angel Funeral Home in Mission.
The graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 3 pm at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission, Texas. Family is asking for social distancing and everyone must wear a mask.
The Services will be livestreamed via Facebook Live, Friday 7pm and Saturday 2pm & 3pm.
