Maria Guadalupe Perez

She was better known as “Tita” to her 5 grandchildren. She died peacefully at her home on January 29, 2022, at the age of 81 surrounded by her family.

She was born to Isaac and Sofia Flores on September 16, 1940. She is preceded in death by her husband, Margarito Perez and her parents Isaac and Sofia Flores.

Maruca is survived by her two children, Jose A. “Beto” (Wendy) Perez and Ana Laura (Jorge) Peña and her 5 grandchildren, Alexa Peña, Regina Perez, Lucianno Perez, Damian Peña and Analia Peña. Maruca is also survived by her two sisters, Marcolfa Guerrero and Lucia (Agustin) Arias and one brother Federico (Minga) Flores.

Maruca loved playing loteria with her grandchildren and friends. She also loved spending time doing crossword puzzles. She loved sowing blankets, knitting and crocheting.

The visitation will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, with a rosary at 7:00 PM.

The funeral mass will occur Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 620 N Dunlap Ave, Mission, TX 78572.

The burial will follow at 1:15 PM at Valley Memorial Gardens.
