Maria Santos

Maria Villareal Santos, loving mother, and grandmother, passed away at McAllen Medical Hospital on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Maria was born October 16, 1930, to Amelia Trevino Villarreal and Crispin Villarreal of McAllen, Texas. Maria had a small business in Donna, Texas for 45 years.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband Pablo Santos and beloved son Daniel Omar Canales and her sisters Rosa V. Quintanilla (Concepcion (Chon)) and Tomasa V. Barrera (Alfredo) and brother Vicente Villarreal (Dominga) and nephews Gilberto Villarreal, Vicente Villarreal, Jr., and Ruben Villarreal. She is survived by her sons Javier Edgar Santos of McAllen, Texas, and Jaime Efrain (Alejandra) Munoz and grandchildren of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is survived by her loving nephews and nieces, Noe Richard (Nancy) Quintanilla of Manhattan, New York; Rene (Karen) Quintanilla of Sacramento, California; Elva (Lee) Martinez of Corpus Christi, Texas; Mary (Roy) Badillo, Ernie (Rosie) Barrera, and Blanca (Noe†) Garza all of Edinburg, Texas; Crispin Efrain Villarreal, Gloria Avila, Evangelina(Chely) Presas, Berta Leticia Medina all of McAllen, Texas; Amelia (Mela) Fessenden of Mission, Texas; and Herminia Alonzo of California. She is also survived by her grandchildren, E.J. Munoz Jr, and Aida Nicole Munoz; great grandchildren; Helena O'mea, Aidan D. O'mea and Gavin Munoz.
