Le sobreviven su amado esposo por 63 años, Jesús Tovar; sus hijos María Guadalupe Valdez, Jesús Mario Tovar, Víctor Hugo Tovar, Marisol Castañeda, Armando Tovar y Zulema Garza. También le sobreviven 17 nietos y 16 bisnietos; y por sus hermanas Irma y María.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el miércoles 1 de junio de 2022 en Funeraria Del Angel, Capilla del Recuerdo en Misión de 3:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m. con un servicio de oración a las 7:00 p. m. El funeral se llevará a cabo el jueves 2 de junio de 2022 en Funeraria Del Angel a las 12:00 pm. El entierro seguirá en el cementerio Valley Memorial Gardens.

Maria Zulema Tovar, age 83, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at her residence in McAllen. Maria was born February 11, 1939.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Jesus Tovar; her children Maria Guadalupe Valdez, Jesus Mario Tovar, Victor Hugo Tovar, Marisol Castañeda, Armando Tovar and Zulema Garza. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and by her sisters Irma and Maria.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel, Chapel of Remembrance in Mission from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
