Maria is preceded in death by her husband Mariano Delgado, Jr. and her son, Mariano Delgado III.
She is survived by her children, Olga (Lupe) Garcia, Irma Rodriguez, Aurora Delgado, and Nellie (Enrique) Gaytan; sisters, Carmela and Rosa; 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 2:00pm to 9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel of Serenity.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1108 W Hackberry Ave, McAllen, TX 78501.
The family would like to thank the numerous nurses, doctors and especially the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care in McAllen for their care and attention of Maria during the final years of her journey.
