She is preceded in death by her sister Herminia Rios and her brother Salvador Benitez.
She is survived by her daughter Santos Benitez; her granddaughter Gabriela Benitez; her grandsons Kiyoshi and Noriyuki Garcia; and by her siblings Valentin Benitez, Fermin Benitez, Jose Isabel Benitez, Margarita Benitez and Maria Guadalupe Ramos.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 at St. Joseph the Worker in McAllen at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission.
