Ninfa G. Zamora, 90, left to be with the Lord on July 17, 2019 at Freddy Gonzalez State Veteran Nursing Home in McAllen. She was born to Nestor Garza and San Juanita Zamora on February 1, 1929 in Fannin, Texas. Ninfa enjoyed gardening, quilting, singing to the Lord and spending quality time with her family. She shared fond memories with them of her time spent in Nebraska, where she played softball as a child. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 69 years: Alejandro Zamora and their children: Alejandro (Pamela C.) Zamora Jr, Estella (Larry A.) Garza, Diana E. (Henry) Lozano, Viola Z. (Scott) Rosenkrantz and Norma Linda (Steven) Walters. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Jenifer Marie (Rolando)Quintana, Maria Christina Zamora, Manuel Alejandro Zamora, Eric P. (Jennifer) Garza, Christopher B. (Courtney M.) Garza, John Henry Lozano, Henry Lozano Jr, Cassandra R. (Waldir) Lozano, Jason (Acenett) Villarreal, Amy E. (Miguel) Gonzalez, Omar Eduardo (Stephanie) Salinas, Michelle Marie (Rafael) Gonzalez, Anissa Marie Salinas, Stephanie Michelle (Aaron) Valdez; great-grandchildren: Robert Austin Navarro, Madison Grace Garcia, Matthew Roy Garcia, Gabrielle Zamora, Kelsey M. Garza, Leah N. Garza, Adrian P. Garza, Caiden M. Garza, Croy B. Garza, Derek M. Lozano, Adrian T. Soria, Alejandra E. Gonzalez, Tristan J. Villarreal, Gavriel A. Gonzalez, Jason C. She is survived by her brother, Jose Nicandro (Elma) Garza; sister,
Nerea Trevino, Nelida Gonzales, Norma (JD) Cozort and sisters-in-law: Ana Garza, Estela Zamora and
Millie (Robert) Smith. Family will receive friends Friday, July 19, 2019 from 5 pm to 9 pm with a rosary recited at 7 pm at Funeraria del Angel in Mission. Having the honor of serving as pallbearers are: Alex Zamora Jr, Steven Walters, Omar Salinas, Eric Garza, Jason Villarreal and Christopher Garza. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 am, Saturday, July 20, 2019 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Peñitas, officiated by Deacon Reynaldo Flores. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Funeraria del Angel of Mission.
