Rafael leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Alicia Peña. Together they raised a beautiful family who will carry on his legacy: children Enrique (Rita) Peña, Velma Botello, Norma (Henry) Alvarado, and Alicia (Ruben) Valerio; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Rafael was known for his unwavering love, deep sense of responsibility, and moral strength. He lived with selflessness, respect, and empathy—always putting others first. His children proudly say they are who they are because of the values and life he gave them.
Rafael was not just the heart of his family but also its foundation. His memory will live on through the generations he helped shape with love, wisdom, and quiet strength.
