He is preceded in death by his parents Genovevo and Victoria Vargas.
He is survived by his children Rafael Vargas Jr., Dina Andres, Ricardo Vargas, Rolando Vargas, Dalila Lopez, Hugo Vargas, Jose G. Vargas, and Jay Vargas; and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
His services will be held at Funeraria Del Angel & Valley Memorial Gardens. Service times are as listed below.
