McAllen – Raquel Vargas, 71, entered eternal rest on September 29, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston.

She is preceded in death by her parents Francisco and Francisca Ester Anzaldua; and by her brothers Federico Anzaldua, Carlos Anzaldua and Lucio Anzaldua.

She is survived by her loving husband Robert Vargas; her children Robert Vargas Jr. and Sandra Esther Macias(Juan); her grandchildren Perfecto Aleman, Andres Aleman and Kaitlyn Macias; and by her siblings Brijida Jasso, Dora Soto, Rebecca Cantu and Juan Anzaldua.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2108 at Funeraria Del Angel, Chapel of Remembrance in Mission, Texas from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at BT, 2001 Trenton Rd. McAllen, Texas 78504 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens.
