He is survived by his wife Ludivina Ortiz; his daughters Sandra(Frank) Gomez and Melissa(Robert) Gloria; his grandchildren Antwon Ramirez, Timothy Ruiz, Rene Deyta, Abraham Ruiz, Trisha Lopez and Mateo Cantu; and by his great grandchildren Devan Zavala, Noah Ruis, Emery Ruis, Serenity Ruiz and Melody Ruiz.
Roberto loved to hunt and fish and was a proud Vietnam War Veteran.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Funeraria Del Angel 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Funeraria Del Angel at 12:30 pm. Burial will follow at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Military Honors will be conducted by the VFW Post 8788.
