Salvador Tellez Padilla

Salvador Tellez Padilla, a man of profound faith and gentle service, departed this life prematurely. A devoted Christian, Salvador beautifully answered a calling to serve others as a chaplain, dedicating his time, heart, and soul to God’s ministry. Whether offering a helping hand as a supportive neighbor or volunteering selflessly in the community, he consistently prioritized the needs of others.

Outside of his ministry, Salvador possessed a deep affection for dogs, who always found a loyal friend in him. He also held a lifelong passion for music. In his early years, he was an amateur musician, a pursuit that brought him lasting joy and shaped his refined taste in music, with jazz occupying a truly special place in his heart.

Among his family’s most treasured memories are the quiet moments spent around the table while Salvador enjoyed a cup of coffee. It was during these times that he would become animated, sharing vivid, cherished stories from his youth as a musician and effortlessly imparting his love of music to his family.

Salvador shared 43 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Martha Garcia de Tellez. Together, they built a family filled with love, devotion, and memories that will be treasured forever.

He is survived by his children, Elsa R. Tellez, Paloma Tellez, Martha Tellez, and Salvador Tellez Jr (Yuliana Garza), and his beloved grandchild, Salomon S. Tellez.

Salvador is also survived by his siblings, Elia Dolores Tellez Padilla, Juana Tellez Padilla, Arturo Tellez Padilla, Reyna Tellez Padilla, Rebeca Tellez Padilla, Martin Tellez Padilla, Minerva Tellez Padilla, and Haydee Tellez Padilla. He was preceded in death by his sibling, Alex Israel Tellez Padilla. The bond of family was an important part of Salvador's life, and the memories they shared will continue to bring comfort and keep him close in their hearts.

Above all, Salvador was recognized for his radiant smile, which had the power to illuminate any room. He is survived by his loving family, who will deeply miss him today and always. They request that he be remembered just as he lived: smiling, with coffee in hand and a melody in his heart.

He remains a beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather. His family will forever carry his memory and their shared recollections deep within their hearts, comforted by the words of Psalm 23:1: “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
