Simona Marfil, 80, went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2014. She was born on July 1, 1933 in Camaron, N.L., Mexico to Magdaleno Marfil and San Juanita Vasquez. Simona is preceded in death by her husband and her parents, Magdaleno and San Juanita Marfil. She is survived by her loving children, Teodolo (Maria de los Angeles) Cantu, Maria (Marco Antonio) Cantu, Maricela (Pedro) Rios and Hermila (Jose Luis) Martinez. She is also survived by her 13 Grandchildren, 26 Great grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and 4 siblings. Family will receive friends today, March 25, 2014 from 3-9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel in Mission. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in McAllen. Interment will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Funeraria del Angel in Mission, a dignity memorial provider.
