On August 7, 2019, aged 78 years, Steve Dwight Albright passed away at home, with family by his side.
Steve was born on January 29, 1941 in Eustace, Henderson County, Texas to Conrad Addington Albright and Christine Cora Albright (Weaver). Steve grew up in Longview, Texas and attended college in Kilgore, Texas. He went into the United States Army, where for some time he was stationed in Warrenton, VA working in Foreign Intelligence. While in Virginia he met and married his wife, Annie Louise Soper.
After the Army, Steve moved back to Texas and went to work as a clerk for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, while attending classes to complete college work. Steve became a Special Agent during his tenure with the FBI, having worked in San Diego, CA and San Francisco, CA.
Steve received his Master’s degree from University of Texas at Arlington and after moving back to Texas in 1974 to go into business with his father (Locksmith and Security systems), often taught night classes in Economics & Statistics, while working towards a PHD.
Steve had a great zest for life and had many friends across the globe. He will be remembered for his love for his country, the love and caring of his family, his knowledge, compassion, and talent of great story telling. He was preceded in death by his parents Conrad and Christine Albright, wife and mother of his children, Annie Louise Clem (Soper).
Steve is survived by his wife: Pam, Daughters: Cheryl Albright of Houston TX, Connie Sergeant of Richmond, VA, Grandchildren: Justin, Elizabeth, April, Scott, Kymberley, Jesse, Christopher, and several great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Steve will be buried in the Rio Grande Valley Veterans Cemetery in Mission, TX. A Memorial service will be held in October, in Dallas, Texas. Friends and family will be notified of details.
