Mindy was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose strength, faith, and kindness touched everyone who knew her. A woman of deep faith, she was recently baptized through TFC Church, reaffirming her unwavering trust in God’s plan.
A reborn Christian and a survivor of domestic violence, Mindy spent the past several years courageously rebuilding her life with her two beloved children, Carlos Garza III and Yasminda Reign Garza. She is also survived by her parents Amando and Guadalupe Gutierrez; her siblings Veronica(Andrew Garza) Gutierrez and Amando Gutierrez III; and by her nephews Bobby Jo Diaz Jr. and Bradley Kameron Garza. Her journey was one of perseverance, love, and faith — a true testament to her warrior spirit.
In July 2025, Mindy was diagnosed with liver and colon cancer. Even in the face of illness, she remained a beacon of hope and strength, leaning on her faith and the love of her family. Her courage and grace inspired all who walked beside her.
Mindy was also involved with Angels of Love, an organization supporting survivors of domestic violence. She shared her powerful story in “Phoenix Warriors: Rising from the Ashes of Domestic Violence – Stories of Courage and Survival,” encouraging others to find healing and strength through faith.
She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, compassion, and courage will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those she inspired.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of prayers, love, and support throughout this journey. Your kindness and compassion have brought comfort during this difficult time.
A mother’s strength. A warrior’s faith. A heart full of love.
The visitation is scheduled for November 3, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission.
