Dear Ana
Occasionally in life you meet that very special person who it is a privilege to call a friend.
I feel so lucky to have had Afshin as great friend. He was a kind and caring person, one of the best friends I ever had and worked with. I am sure you were fortunate to have him as husband.
The time in McGill University we had together some of the best ever. We have to remember all the wonderful times we had with him and think just how lucky and privileged we were to know him. He will always be missed, never forgotten.

Afshin is a big part of my best childhood memories. Holidays...picnics ...1000s of evenings at Iranjoon's ,treasure hunting in his room, being discovered and chucked out unceremoniously. All the cheek pinching...the funny nicknames....undoing his Lego figurines...messing with his stone collection, me stealing the coin collection ! ... 
We will always remember . You will be missed.

First and most my sincere condolences to Anahita and sooran.
I have so many great memories from dear Afshin and his lovely mom and dad and brother , from our trips to north of Iran where he left our baggage’s up the roof of the car and we had to drive back to find it to when we used to go for walks at the park when he would pull my scarf and would smile 😊 
I miss him for his kind heart and his smile

  I hadn 't seen  you in 30 years . 
I hadn't hugged you ,hold you in my  arms , or kissed you in 30 years  , but your passing hurts me as mach as if l just saw  and kissed you 30 years seconds ago .

I was deeply saddened and heartbroken to hear about Afshin's passing.  I had the privilege to be his friend and next-door neighbor in the same apartment building, while we were studying at McGill University.  I remember him as a tireless worker who took pride and pleasure in his work, yet always maintained a gentle and pleasant character.  He was a friendly soul, who laughed easily and abundantly, yet was always helpful with words of wisdom and deeper insights into life matters.  It is truly sad and senseless for him to not be around anymore.  My sincerest condolences to Ana and Soren for his passing, and I wish you continued strength and patience throughout these very difficult times.

Dear Ana,

Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss, I heard the news on Friday and I am heartbroken. My thoughts and prayers for you and your family especially your son. Afshin was a great man, most humble and caring and we all going to miss him. Losing a loved one is the hardest to accept and to bear with. I pray that you find the strength to move forward to raise Soren to be a great man as his father and know that Afshin would be proud.

When I first arrived in Canada as an international student, in the very cold months of winter, I knew no one. It was hard and lonely. Afshin, who was also a graduate student working with the same supervisor, became my rescue, my friend, and my support. He was there for me, showed me the way, helped me settle, and we remained friends ever since. He had a heart of gold and a kind soul. 
I regret all the years I lost touch with him and his beautiful family after graduation. 
I wish Ana and their son and his family peace and comfort during these hard times.

Dear Ana, my deepest condolences for your loss. My heart is saddened by Afshin's departure and my thoughts and prayers are with you. May God give him eternal rest and you the strength to bear the great grief.
