Barbara worked for Hawaiian Telephone for 30 years. She also owned and operated a food truck and created many cookbooks with her authentic Chinese and Hawaiian dishes. She was an extraordinary chef.
She was a dedicated mother to her son, Regan, working two jobs to put him through all boys Catholic school in Hawaii. She enjoyed golfing, shopping, family, friends, and was an amazing artist. Painting, ceramics, calligraphy, and gardening were among just a few of her passions.
As a devout Catholic, she found comfort knowing she would be in Heaven with her grandparents, parents, and so many more loved ones. Barbara is survived by her son, Regan, her 2 brothers: Clifford & Danny, sister: Patricia and sister in laws: Eleanor & Karen. She is also greatly missed by her daughter in law: Jennifer, and Regan's 3 children, Caitlyn, Victoria, Brandon, and our 4 dogs. She loved visits with our dogs and they certainly loved her visits!
A memorial service will be held on May 24, 2025, at 1:30PM at Saint Nicholas Church
She will be interred, with her mother, Mary Lau, as her final resting place, on the beautiful island of Oahu, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's association (https://www.alz.org/help-support) since this is ultimately what Barbara succumbed to.
