
Carmen C. Pollastro, of Laguna Niguel, CA and born on June 16, 1941 passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the age of 74. He was at home with this family by his side. Carmen was born in Syracuse, New York to Michael and Edith “Billie” Pollastro. He grew up and completed his primary education in Syracuse. Out of High School, Carmen enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served his country as a tank driver along side his lifelong friend Frank Egnato. Following his time in service, Carmen worked in law enforcement as a police officer in New York, and then in Laguna Beach after moving to California. He went back to school, completing his bachelor’s degree at Redlands University. Through his police work in Laguna, met and eventually married Teresa Caldwell on November 22, 1980 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they have celebrated over 35 years of marriage. After retiring from public service, Carmen worked as a professional bodyguard and limousine driver. He enjoyed road trips across America with Teresa, horseback riding with his friends, and trips to the shooting ranges to maintain his precision. His greatest enjoyment however was spending time with family. He is survived by his wife, Teresa; one daughter Emily and her husband Bob; two granddaughters Laura and Reilly; and a host of friends. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on January 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar, CA.
