Cecilia Sanchez

Cecilia Sanchez entered entered this life on January 14, 1934 in Torreon, Mexico. She entered eternal life on Tuesday, August 14, 2017. Cecilia grew up and attended schools in Mexico. Following her education she worked as a secretary. She met the love of her life, Felipe Sanchez when she was a young woman. He was a soldier serving in the U.S. Army on leave visiting his family in Mexico. The couple dated and corresponded by mail for a quite some time and then married on April 25, 1957 in Mexico City. Together the celebrated 50 years of marriage until his passing in 2008. Cecilia was one of eight children. She and her husband Felipe raised three wonderful daughters and were blessed with four beautiful grandchildren. She enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures to include dancing and mariachi music however, what she valued most was spending time with family. She loved her family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and daughter. Cecilia was preceded in death by her husband Felipe Sanchez, her parents and one brother, Manuel Salas. Survivors include three daughters, Aida (husband, Joseph) Sanchez-Nunez, Dellanira (husband, David) Moriel and Maricela Sanchez; four grandchildren, Julian and Joanna Sanchez-Nunez, Sarah and Sophie Moriel; four sisters, Sonia, Alicia, Amparo and Socorro; two brothers, Francisco and Roberto. A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Fairhaven Memorial Services Chapel, 27856 Center Drive, Mission Viejo, CA 92692 at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow at Fairhaven Reception Center.
