Charles “Butch” Rock Sr., born December 12th, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA, passed away April 7th, 2021 in Menifee, CA. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marcia; his four children, Elva (Julian) McGuire, Debbie Tombol, Melissa Wells, & Chuck (Leah) Rock; his brothers, Greg (Judy) & Bill (Lori) Rock; and his many nieces and nephews. Butch also leaves behind his greatest pride, his nine grandchildren; Christopher (Kassie), Tristan, & Alaina Rock; Kayla & Justin McGuire; Zachary Tombol; Eric May and Cody & Natalie Wells.
Butch worked as a tire salesman for almost 60 years. He was a proud Steelers fan, enjoyed hunting in the woods near his home in Minnesota, and was a dedicated member of the Fullerton Elks Lodge. He served as the Exalted Ruler of the Lodge for two years, where he and Marcia made many friends and memories.
Butch and Marcia just recently moved back to California to be close to family after retiring in Las Vegas for the last six years. Butch was a dedicated volunteer and spent much of his time in Vegas volunteering at the Mob Museum. He loved being a part of the history and always felt like he was a true mobster.
Butch is predeceased by his parents, Gregory & Jean Rock; his two sisters, Pat Schaum & Barb Stupar; and his brother, Bernie Rock.
Family and friends will celebrate Butch’s life at Noon on Friday, April 30th at the Bourbon Street Bar in Downtown Fullerton, CA.
