Dana Samuel “Papa” Valensky age 76, went to be with his Lord early Sunday morning, June 22, 2025. Spending time with family was his first priority. He loved watching his granddaughters play in their sporting events.
Dana was a Marine and was proud to serve his country. He always said, “Once a Marine always a Marine.” When he would meet another Marine, they wound exchange the phrase “Semper Fi” which is short for Semper Fidelis, a Latin phrase that means “Always Faithful.” It has been the official motto of the U.S. Marine Corps since 1883. More than just a slogan, Semper Fi represents the loyalty and commitment Marines have to their country and their mission.
Dana was an avid Gardener. He spent hours in the garden and shared that it was an amazing time with the LORD. It was good for his spirit and soul. This scripture describes how Dana viewed his Beautiful Garden. Genesis 2:15 reads: “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”
Dana was so proud to be a Messianic Jew. He believed Yeshua (Jesus) was his Lord & Savior. He loved going to church and he enjoyed fellowship with our Christian Community group. He had a compassion for the underdog and his fellow disabled Veterans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Eleanore Valensky.
