When David started dating my older sister, Mary Jean, I was actually the last one in the family he met since I was away in college. I vividly remember that day I came home to my parent's home in Fullerton. I recall seeing David in the corner of my eye by our mini basketball hoop. I didn't acknowledge him and I was thinking in my mind, "Who is this person dating my sister. He better be good enough for her". Mary Jean and David left a short while later and I don't think I said one word to him.

Boy, I couldn't have been more wrong. I guess I was being an overprotective brother. I quickly realized that he was not only good enough for my sister; he was "above and beyond" good enough for her. I want to thank David for providing my sister with the happiest times of her life. Those two were truly a perfect fit.

David wasn’t a tall person in stature, but he was a giant with his kindness. He was always so genuine and welcoming. I will cherish the times I spent with him enjoying each other's company, watching a game, and having a nice cold beer. I'll miss him dearly and will always keep those memories forever.

My heart goes out to Mary Jean, Desiree, Michelle, Adam, and to David's siblings and their families. May you find comfort in knowing that he is in a better place and that you will always have those special memories of him.

David was more than just a brother in law to me, he was another brother. We shared many cold ones when I was staying with them in the Football Ranch home and attended many practices and games in which he was very involved in. He was always happy to see me at those games as he was very proud to see his kids do well.

David was kind and warm to anyone he met. He was always the first to make you feel welcomed. When I first met him, he and my sister picked me up from the airport as I was arriving from not being home in over 2 years and I wanted to surprise my parents. I knew then my sister made good choice.

David was honest and hard working and most importantly, a dedicated husband to my sister and father to his 3 children who are now fine adults as a result of the example he set for them.

My heart felt condolences to my sister Mary Jean, to Desiree, Michelle and Adam. To his siblings and their families. He will sorely be miss by those of us who had the honor to know him. I miss those times we had a cold one, but most of all, I will miss you. Rest In Peace and God speed Brother.

David Vargas was a man taken way too early from us. He had so much more to give and share but the Father has called him home. He was a shining example of loving one's family to the fullest, living life to the fullest and treating everyone as if they are family. He treated me that way when I become part of the family. He welcomed me warmly, always asked me if I wanted a cold one and was always willing to take the time to speak with me and see what was going on with me and my family. He was good like that... making me think that I wish I could have spent more time with him and his family. He was a great guy that I will miss. My heartfelt prayers and condolences go out to Mary Jean, Desiree, Michelle, Adam and to all of David's family and extended family. May you forever rest in peace David. God Bless your Soul and God Bless your Family....Always.
