Donald Oswald Breuer

Donald Breuer was born on December 14, 1941, in Surabaya, Indonesia. Following World War II, his family relocated to The Netherlands, where he completed the majority of his schooling. He later immigrated to the United States, eventually settling in Pasadena, California.

Donald attended Pasadena City College before enlisting in the United States Army, serving two years on active duty and four years in the U.S. Army Reserves. Following his military service, he established a career in the aerospace industry, working for Hughes Aircraft in Orange County. He loved his job, spending 30 years with Hughes before retiring and was well-respected by his colleagues in the industry.

Donald enjoyed spending his time off outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping and boating throughout the years. Every summer he would take a camping trip with the family where he would show-off his survival skills and fishing technique.

On March 25, 2003, Donald married the love of his life, Rachel Germano. For over 23 years, Donald wanted to enjoy everything that the world had to offer with Rachel. They traveled, spent time in their lovely garden at their home in Mission Viejo, went hiking all over southern California, and of course, went fishing. Donald wanted to share all of his adventures with Rachel, which he did.

Donald had a great sense of humor and loved his comfort foods. His favorite food was Indonesian Fried Rice, also known as “nasi goreng,” because it reminded him of home. He was also the king of the "Dad Jokes". No matter what the occasion, Donald always managed to make people laugh with his light-hearted, fun sense of humor.

Donald leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and cherished memories that will forever live in our hearts.
