We were so sorry to hear about cousin Mel. He was such a thoughtful person and so much fun to be around. Every time I think of him, I can hear his contagious laughter. Attached is a picture from 1956 when his family visited ours. Also included is a picture from when Mary Lynn and I had the opportunity to travel to California and visit the family in 1992. I remember the fun we had traveling from LA to San Diego with Mel and Jeanette, touring the wineries along the way. At least I think I remember it.

Howard and Jeanette were my next door neighbors in Milliken, CO for 17 years. Howard and I shared "garbage can" recovery days. If one of us didn't happen to be home to retrieve our roll out garbage cans, the other could be depended upon to get both of then to their respective residences. I can say the same about digging out from the Colorado snow too. We always made sure that the other person's snow was cleared if for some reason one of us wasn't home. The attached picture is Howard and his step son, Craig, doing their driveway in Jan. 2006. Rest in peace Howard and I hope that you found that perfect golf course in heaven!
