

Janet Fox Keller, nee Janet Carol Fox, was born on January 29, 1944. The eldest of three daughters born to William Horan Fox and Mary Lucille Johnson Fox, Janet grew up in New Canaan, Connecticut, with her sisters Sarah Fox (Herthel) and Virginia Fox (Meon). She attended Denison University and then USC, receiving her BFA in fine art. In 1965 she married William H. Keller. Together with their three children, Matthew, Kimberly, and Mark, the Kellers enjoyed a rich life as a family in Mission Viejo, CA. Janet continued painting throughout her life, working in watercolor, oils, and acrylics. She later studied early childhood education and lovingly taught preschool for more than 30 years. She also devoted herself to her six grandchildren. Janet and Bill enjoyed 52 years as a married couple. Janet died on January 31 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Matt, Kim, and Mark; two daughters-in-law, Jennifer Keller and Allyson Keller; and grandchildren, Holland & Will Keller, Henry & Kate Badoud, Ben & Sam Keller. A service will be held at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest on Saturday, February 18 at 10:30 am.
