Jio Miguel Reyes Castro was born on April 5, 1992 in Manila, Philippines. He was the eldest child of Manuel Evangelista Castro and Rojannie Reyes Castro (who preceded him). He has a younger sister, Bea Mariel Reyes Castro.
Jio moved to USA in 2004. He continued his grade school education at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Los Angeles, then transferred to Downtown Magnets High School. He attended Menlo College in the Silicon Valley.
Jio began to work in no time. From his Dad who taught and trained him since he was a young boy all the technical knowledge and skills he acquired, he continued to develop them above and beyond, advancing to expertise in his field, thus performing top-level, highly critical work for the entities he joined. He started at Electrikom Satellite Services/Speedcast. He also worked at Intellian. Finally, he joined the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific of the U.S. Navy. Jio totally committed himself to his works. The work ethic he demonstrated was nothing but an absolute workaholic. His work mantra, as he would often say was, "For the warfighters." There could be nothing more patriotic.
Jio's main interests included camping, shooting, and traveling for work. He was such a foodie and a coffee connoisseur too. He joined the Lord on December 7, 2025 at the age of 33. We, his family and friends, would miss him dearly, appreciate and benefit from his accomplishments, and most importantly, celebrate his life for coming across with ours.
A visitation will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Services, located at 27856 Center Drive, Mission Viejo, CA, 92692, on December 29, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
