Katrina Marie Misir

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Katrina Misir, who departed this life on April 28, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on February 10, 1958, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Katrina touched the lives of all who knew her with kindness, warmth, and unwavering support.

Katrina is survived by her husband Dirik and her adopted child Alessandro, as well as many cherished friends and extended family. She especially loved her tribe of cousins and her “other family” consisting of her Marywood high school friends (aka “The Golden Girls” Louise, Peggy, and Ann). Her cousins and Marywood family stood with her through thick-and-thin.

Throughout her life, Katrina was known for her dedication to family, friends, and children. She enjoyed Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Iggy Pop. Katrina will be remembered for her generosity, sense of humor, and loving spirit. She always had your back and would protect you like a lioness when needed.

A celebration of Katrina's life will be held on Saturday, May 23rd at 11 am at Fairhaven Memorial Services, located at 27856 Center Dr, Mission Viejo, CA 92692, with all who knew and loved her invited to attend and share in the remembrance. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The National Pancreas Foundation in Katrina's honor.

Katrina's legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. May she rest in peace.
