September 18, 1963 – June 6, 2025
Kenneth Paul Slosser, beloved husband, father, Poppy, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, at the age of 61, after a long and courageous battle with prostate cancer. Born on September 18, 1963, in Tucson, Arizona, Ken was the son of Paul Slosser and Susan Thorn.
A longtime resident of Laguna Niguel, California, Ken built a life marked by love, loyalty, and achievement. He is survived by his devoted wife, Glenda Slosser; his children Amanda Slosser, Melanie Slosser Willig, Trent Mason, and Tarah Mason; and his adored grandchildren Blake Mason, Austyn Mason, and Nora Willig, who lovingly knew him as "Poppy." Ken’s love for his family and friends was the true center of his world, and he never missed a chance to show how much they meant to him.
Professionally, Ken enjoyed an exceptional 30+ year career in investment banking. He was widely respected for his leadership, insight, and work ethic. The highlight of his career came during his time at FBR Capital Markets, where he held a key executive position as Head of Investment Banking, Senior Managing Director, Executive Vice President. He finished his career at Compass Point, where his steady leadership and insight continued to inspire those around him.
Outside of work, Ken lived life with energy and passion. He loved to travel and explore new places, having visited every continent over the years. Ken spent time hunting across the United States, pursuing all kinds of game, including various birds, deer, and elk. He also enjoyed spending time on the golf course with his wife, friends, and family. He had a special affection for Christmas — a season that reflected his generous spirit and joy in gathering loved ones. Above all, Ken’s greatest joy came from time spent with his family and close friends. His presence brought laughter, warmth, and connection to every room he entered. Ken also had a deep faith and love for the Lord. His belief was a source of strength throughout his life and especially during his illness. He faced each day with courage and peace, knowing exactly where he would spend eternity.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Mariners Church, located at 5001 Newport Coast Drive, Irvine, California, in the Chapel. A reception will follow the service. All who knew and loved Ken are welcome to join in honoring his memory and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Ken’s memory to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
