As I woke today I was thinking of my Spiritual Papa Lou and so grateful  how he always had an encouraging word for me. I remember my first mission trip to San Quintín, Mexico. And before we went we had meetings to be prepared and he said everyone will speak. When we arrived and it was my time to speak I was so nervous I forgot what I prepared and he said God will give you something. I was not the only one nervous and Pastor Lou encourages all of us saying everyone has some to say from the Lord if you listen. That was the beginning of finding my voice. Afterwards I felt it wasn’t that great but Pastor Lou encourages me again by telling me you can only do your best then God takes care of the rest. I learned some of the best lessons from him I carry on today. I was blessed to make that trip again January  2019 and I cherish all the moments of sharing about Christian Outreach beginnings in San Quintín, Mexico. 
Prepare, do your best and God takes care of the rest! Thank you, Papa Lou💟✝️

Pastor Luis introduced me to the beautifully country of Colombia. I fell in love with the people and felt deeply aligned with Luis and Aida’s heart for all people. His generosity of spirit, laughter and go getter zest of life inspires me. I am so grateful to know Luis and Aida and to learn so much from their heart and journey into God loving kingdom. We love you Luis and Aida!

My wife and I met Lou and Aida at the local church. Holly also worked in the same office region as Lou. We can testify of their consistent and persistent life to honor Jesus. 

I went on my first mission trip with Lou. Saw the eyes of the Lord from a new perspective. How HE loves all. Simple but full manifestation on our trip to Mexico.

Then three of us ran seven miles at snails pace one Saturday morning. Nothing spectacular in itself. But it was the launching pad to run a marathon ten months later.  It birth something in me. We all need a friend who will do something to encourage us to do what’s in our heart. Thanks Lou!

We had many opportunities to fellowship and sharpen the truth in each other.  He loves the word of God.

Well done Lou. Some sow seed and others water you did both in my life and I’m Better for it.

I know Aida will carry on that which you both began.

Hace 22 años atrás conocí al pastor Luis Torres cuando donaba comida a la iglesia Centro Cristiano Internacional en San Juan Capistrano para la comunidad siempre ayudando a la comunidad,  después fui su oveja por más de 11 años , un hombre con una fe inquebrantable , un hombre apasionado por la obra del señor , un hombre con un gran amor por Dios, y con un corazón de servicio . Doy gracias a Dios por permitirme conocer y amar al pastor Luis . Mi pastor favorito, se que estas feliz en el cielo alabando a tu creador, Aquí en la tierra te recordare siempre porque eres parte de mi vida, has dejado huellas en mi que no se borrarán nunca. Pastora mi amor y oraciones están contigo siempre . 

My husband and I met Lou and Aida at our local church in Irvine CA and God brought us together with two other couples from our church to be close friends in April of 1992.  It was a bond of loyalty and love.  We celebrated Birthdays, went away for week-ends and shared laughter, meals, prayers while growing  in support of each other as we raised our teens and younger-ones, while serving in our church as leaders.  I remember the night Lou ‘taught’ to show his ability to lead a Bible Study and the anointing that was on his lesson was do strong....I remember the Mission Trip we attended with others from our church as he & Aida took us to Mexico to serve.  He was a strong leader and dedicated Man of God.  It was not a surprise to me that he was called, as well as Aida, to be evangelists, to plant churches in numerous other countries and to Pastor their own church.  I loved & love them and although we have physically moved away from each other Aida and I have kept in touch.  God wanted him... so he is no longer with us physically, but his ability to serve at the level God asked as well as be a business leader witnessing in the world-system where he excelled was beyond inspirational.  Brother and friend, Lou Torres, I am sad you left so young and I will continue to be here for your precious wife, Aida, should she need me, as you would know!💜✝️💜.  

I knew Lou from H.S. When he met his wife Aida.  For a season we lost touch and were reunited in California. We shared good times, vacation together and our families grew close. We shared in their Holy Spirit Baptism knowing early on that God had mighty plans for them!    We celebrate you Lou, but more importantly you are before the KING “GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT... in WHOM HE IS WELL PLEASED,,”.   Much love AND PEACE AND COMFORT TO AIDA AND FAMILY...... Pastor Torres you were a man after God's heart full of wisdom, knowledge, and great faith,  calmness and  joy. I was highly  honored to have served with you and Pastor Aida in Mexico. You always had a smile and a kind heart, but your strength came forth with wisdom and boldness when you ministered the word. Those who knew you were changed and challenged, therefore, your legacy will live on through those you deposited into. Rejoicing with you that you are in His presence. In his presence is fullness of joy.

Ps. Lou was and IS definitely someone I look up to! Even more now that he's gone. I still can't believe he's not in our midst anymore. His legacy and the fruit of his ministry on the earth will carry on and will continue inspiring people all over the world.  I'm so very grateful I got to spend some time with him as a young believer. He and his wife, Ps. Aida, hosted me and mentored me during my time in Southern California, on my first trip to the US. They're so special, kind, hospitable and fine ministers of the Gospel. They poured into my life, welcomed me in their house and treated me like a son. He even went out of his way and made time on one of his ministry trips here in my home country, Peru, to visit with me. We had dinner at LongHorn Restaurant and he shared his wisdom and insight with me, once again. May the God of grace overwhelm the hearts of all his family members and friends with His peace and comfort during this time! I so wish I could be there with all of you. See you later, Ps. Louis was my acquaintance/friend in high school (1961-64).  He was always the nicest, kindest, sweetest guy around. Never failed to say hello and chat. Fond memories. 

My heartfelt condolences to Aida and family. He was taken to soon.
