OBITUARY

Marjorie Snow

April 16, 1929March 9, 2021

On Tuesday, March 9, 2021, Marjorie Susan Snow, loving mother, Nani, Gargi, Gigi and grandmother to 6 grandsons and 5 great grandchildren, passed away at the age of 91.

She was born on April 16, 1929 to Herman and Susan Thomas in Chicago, Illinois. On September 8, 1951 she married Raymond John Snow. They raised two daughters, Susan and Nancy. They began their family in Chicago, Illinois and moved to California in 1958, where they resided in Arcadia and finally in Dana Point. She worked for over 20 years as the Office Manager for Dr. Harold Ward in Arcadia before she retired.

Margie had a passion for traveling and was completely in love with Great Britain. I think she was convinced she was British and not German. She traveled extensively to London, Scotland, Alaska, the Caribbean, and many US states. She loved to collect lighthouses from all of her travels, and her love was proudly displayed in her home. She also loved to go gambling and would be ready to go even if you gave her short notice. She was generous, kind, loving, compassionate and full of life. You would never know that she was her age, as she was always raring to go, even riding a jet ski in Michigan just 2 years ago.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband Raymond and her oldest daughter Susan. She is survived by her daughter Nancy, her grandsons Matthew, Ryan, David and his wife Lisa, John and his wife Chloe, Michael and James; as well as her 5 great grandchildren, Abram, Gannon, Gracie, Zander and Penelope and 2 sons-in-laws, Neil and Steve. She will be greatly missed by all that loved her.

A memorial service will be held on May 15, 2021 at 12pm at the Fairhaven Memorial, in Mission Viejo. Flowers may be sent directly to the Mortuary or donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
