Our beloved wife, mother, and sister, Maureen Rodrigues nee Regenstreif, passed away on September 24th, 2023 from cancer. Maureen was born in Montreal, Canada and lived 30 years in the US, the last 24 in California.
Maureen worked for Air Canada for over 26 years. Retired for the last 10 years, Maureen volunteered with Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue (SCGRR). A passionate advocate for animals, Maureen worked tirelessly to find homes for unwanted or displaced dogs and through this work touched many lives.
Maureen was energetic, single-minded and enthusiastic in all that she took on. She brought that resolve in her battle with cancer, demonstrating great bravery in the face of overwhelming odds and was an inspiration to all that knew her.
Maureen is preceded in death by her father Bernard, her mother Velia and her sister, Maddalena. She is survived by her husband Gerry, son Christian, brother Marco and sisters Marcella and Meggy, and her several nieces and nephews.
